James P. Honan, Ed.D, is a Senior Lecturer on Education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. He is also a faculty member at the Harvard Kennedy School and serves on the Faculty Executive Board of the Harvard Advanced Leadership Initiative. At Harvard, he teaches a course, Strategic Finance for Nonprofit Leaders, both residentially and online. He also chairs and teaches in a number of executive education programs for education, nonprofit, and government leaders. He has served previously as a trustee of the National Association of Independent Schools, the Dana Hall School, and Buckingham, Browne, and Nichols School.
